San Pedro's Schoolhouse

Just a quick study of a little southwestern school my son attends. I can only imagine the student daydreams induced from looking out the window...

Hey Tom, this is a great study! You're working the brushstrokes
And what a view they have! That certainly would inspire some good daydreams!

The colors are sumptuous! Your skills are progressing in leaps and bounds!

Thanks Douglas! Dramatically improved from my studyhall view of a Battery Outlet and some northern Ohio cornfields!

R~ You will laugh when you read this~ I started this last night and had it entirely blocked-in.... HATED IT, so I wiped it down and started over! It went faster the second time around because: 1) I figured out what NOT to do with the composition, & 2) I had most of the colors already mixed! (I felt like my skills had completely abandoned me during the struggle) :>)

Another masterful work, brother Tom. I was amused to read your response to R. Don't you HATE it when it feels like your skills have left the building? I just got finished black gessoing over most of a piece I'd been struggling with for weeks. Didn't give up, just got pissed...

Nice job! Yeah, I wouldn't get much done in school with that view.
